Obituary for A. Joan Tomamichel

A. Joan Tomamichel, 88, of Beech Grove, entered into eternal rest on December 26, 2017. She was born on January 30, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late John and Anna Peterson.

Joan enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed painting, seamstress, doll making, gardening, and cooking. She was previously a member of Olive Branch Christian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and other activities in the church.

Joan is survived by her children, Kathryn (Terrill) Mahler, Carl T. (Pamela) Tomamichel and Joseph A. (Teresa) Tomamichel; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl M. Tomamichel and daughter, Vicky Lee Walsh.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association or First Christian Church of Beech Grove.
