Obituary for Clifford R Day

Clifford R. Skip Day
On Saturday, October 21st, Cliff, son of Robert and Ora Day, closed his eyes and took his last breath. He went quietly and peacefully the same way he lived his life. He left his wife of 50 years and family grieving but content for him that he is no longer struggling from the effects of Parkinsons Disease. His many friends and family will mourn him and remember his love, gentle ways and sense of humor that kept everyone either wondering or laughing uncontrollably. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and joined the Marine Corps. in 1961. He proudly served for four years and contributed much of his success from that experience. He attended the University of Indianapolis after leaving the Marines in 1964. Although he had several jobs in the industry, he retired from Zenith Administrators as a Regional Vice President in 2004. He was respected by his employees and clients alike. He loved his family, good friends, golf, auto racing and warm weather. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Martinsville, and made many friends in his church community.
He will be fondly remembered by his wife, Sue, his daughter Amy (Kurt) Thompson; grandchildren, Dugan, Cole and Maggie; sister Loraine and many nieces and nephews, who loved him without reservation.
There will be a celebration of his life on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Dyes Walk Country Club from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Please join us to remember a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Martinsville, IN or Rock Steady Boxing Greenwood.
