Obituary for Jean Ann Shotts

Jean Ann Shotts,88, Indianapolis, passed away on March 8, 2018. Born May 28, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late Ernest and Mary Talkington, she graduated from Arsenal Tech High School. A homemaker, she enjoyed reading, quilting, and swimming. She was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Meredith L. Shotts; daughter-in-law, Pauline Shotts; her children, Carol (Robert) Farnsworth, James (Karen) Shotts, and Mary Katherine Shotts; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, Timothy B. Shotts & Michael G. Shotts and sister Barbara Moore. She loved her fur-baby Teddy.


Visitation will be from 12-1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 14 at St. Roch Catholic Church, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in The Court of Apostles mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.
