Obituary for N. Jean Tomlinson

N. Jean Tomlinson, 86, of Indianapolis passed away on February 7, 2018. Born on September 26, 1931 in Speedway, Indiana to Roy M. Bly and J. Edith (Weakly) Bly.

Proceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert L. Tomlinson Sr.

Survived by her sister, Pat Richie, and her three sons, Robert L Tomlinson Jr. (Debbie), Bruce Tomlinson and Brian Tomlinson (Deann). She had ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

She enjoyed her time bowling at Sport Bowl with her lady friends and reading as many as 3 or 4 books a week. She enjoyed her childhood weekends and early retirement years on Lake Hollybrook in Gosport, Indiana.

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for 40 years. Her later summer months were spent at Yankee Park on Big Long Lake in Hudson, Indiana. Her rescued dog Rascal already misses her.

A heartfelt Thank You to Aspen Trace on South SR 135 for their outstanding service and compassionate care of our Mother. Her roommate Ruth welcomed her with open arms and they became quick friends.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers the Family is asking donations be made to Rosie's Southside Animal Shelter. This is were she adopted Rascal. Link provided below for donations.
