Obituary for Linda M Whicker

Linda M. Whicker, 68, of Fishers, formally of Kokomo, IN., passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on December 25,1948 in Kokomo, IN to Charles H. and Mary J. Hinders. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1977. Linda worked for Beckleys Office Equipment for 32 years. She then went on to work for Delphi for 3 years before retirement. After retirement she worked for the Kokomo Library downtown for about 3 years before becoming ill.

Linda belonged to the Kokomo Elks Lodge #190 where she was the first woman to be Exhaulted Ruler. Then she became a member of Noblesville Elk Lodge #576. She made some wonderful friends by being an Elk and all through her life.

Her passion was Siesta Keys, Florida where she went every September for 28 years. She also loved her two cats Callie and Mojo.

Survivors include her son, Philip F. Whicker, Jr.; son-in-law, Jeremy Galloway of Fishers; sisters, Belva (Charlie) Yocum, Sue (Gerry) Avery, and Judy; brother, Charles (Pat) Hinders, all of Kokomo; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life Saturday December 2,2017 from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Bel Air Events 3014 S. Webster St. Kokomo Indiana 46902
