Obituary for Charles Henry Kemp

Charles Henry Kemp, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 29, 2018. He was born on September 24,1923 in Indianapolis, to the late Alfred John and Jettie Pearl Kemp.

He was a member of Garfield Park Community Church for 63 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII in Europe under General Patton 735th Tank Battalion.

He worked for General Motors for 37 years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and traveling.

Survivors include his son, Douglas Charles (Claudia) Kemp; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Kemp.

Funeral Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on May 2, 2018 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Garfield Park Community Church, 743 E. Pleasant Run Pkwy S. Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46203.
