Obituary for Eleanor Mae Pottschmidt

Eleanor Mae Pottschmidt, 92, Greenwood, passed away on August 25, 2018.
She was born March 25, 1926 in French Lick, IN to the late Hearn and Lura (Bell) Wilkinson. She worked as a nursing assistant in many medical offices in the area. She also worked as a registrar for Aristotle College. She was a licensed lay minister in the American Baptist Church and was an active volunteer of OMS (One Mission Society). She was a founding member of Southland Community Church and Community Church of Greenwood, where she was very active in the church and the senior citizens groups. Eleanor blessed and encouraged people with her greeting cards for many years. She loved gardening and was a prayer warrior.

Survivors include her husband of 74 years, Raymond Pottschmidt; daughters, Linda (Jimmy) Moore and Donna (Rev. Bob) Ransom; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and sister, Madonna Wilkinson.

She was preceded in death by her brother Walter Wilkinson.

Memorial Service: 2:30 PM on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at Southland Community Church with calling an hour prior to the service. Additional visitation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Missionary Church, Church Planting P.O. Box 9127, Ft. Wayne, IN 46899. G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
